Studio Farmer is a London and Margate based interior design studio creating un-forced and personable spaces with a unique identity.
We focus on bringing authenticity and charm to a project through thoughtful space planning, carefully curated lighting designs and a calming selection of colour. Eleanor believes a home is given a soul through the use of interesting and playful shape, texture and form, created from an old love of antique textiles, oversized and interesting artwork and soulful decorative elements.
Each home is designed around those who are to live in and love the space. Unswayed by the passing dictates of fashion, Eleanor enjoys to bring together a home that is both practical and comfortable, yet designed to last and enjoyed for many years to come.
Aside from residential interior design, Studio Farmer works on a number of design projects including hotel, restaurant and product design.
Studio Farmer offers help from hourly design consultancy, as well as complete build projects from planning to completion in both the residential and commercial sectors
Raised in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District and now living between London and Margate. Eleanor Farmer has extensive creative and project-running experience with a focus on luxurious residential and commercial projects. The projects, both in the UK and abroad, range from large scale high end developments to beautiful private homes.
Eleanor previously worked as a senior designer for Conran + Partners and Staffan Tollgard Design Group where she oversaw large design teams on award winning projects, including, most recently, the best apartment at the Evening Standard New Homes awards 2021.
She has a keen eye for detail and process combined with much onsite experience, technical knowledge and experience in designing within the constraints of planning, listed buildings and conservation restrictions. Eleanor applies intelligent, well-informed design principles throughout all stages of design and construction to help deliver high-value finished products with desirable identities.
